Salem Cigarettes are very well known and loved in Asia thanks to the numerous advertising done in that region. The brand it self was launched in the middle of the 20th century more accurately in 1956 and it's owned by the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco company. They were the first ones who have started using filters on their cigarettes. Also they are unique in the world of menthol, the competition uses the mainstream menthol flavor but they have opted for the Asian version thus it's so popular over there. They have sponsored many sport event and concerts to promote them selves like the Hong Kong Tennis Open.
