The Winston cigarette brand was launched in the mid 20th century and it's best selling years were in the 60's. The brand is currently owned by the R.J Reynolds Tobacco Company. In the early days they have sponsored the hit TV cartoon show called "The Flintstones". With the tobacco bans they had to remove their sponsorship from the media which targeted kids and young adults. After a while tobacco has been banned from all media. This brand has slowly expanded all across the globe and in the 80's it has became the best selling cigarette in Puerto Rico. Currently is around the #6 position in the US market.
