In the middle of the 20th of century cigarette purchases started to drop in results of numerous articles being published regarding smoking cancer and death. This got the people scared and started to give up smoking. Tobacco companies started developing different ways to relieve this fear. Kent cigarettes have implemented special filters which proved to be a disaster because they contained carcinogenic elements in them. After this failure they have changed their filters into charcoal based ones. They are a well liked brand until this day.
